We are looking for an eager, intelligent individual who will learn a lot working for this upstart indie label, fashion publication and media company. We have a fun and exciting atmosphere complete with flexible hours, ability to work around school schedules and a hands on experience in the music, fashion and media industry. All interns will gain valuable experience learning the inner workings of a small professional services business. Candidates should be self-motivated, creative and demonstrate the drive to be part of a fast moving team. Interns are needed in the following areas: marketing, event coordination, research, data entry, assist in managing several artists with day-to-day, tours, promotions and public relations including:
- Conduct select market research and media outreach
- Maximize social media for our clients, working with client account staff
- Research press hits in various media; scan and maintain press hits library
- Oversee publications subscription list and manage service
- Update existing media database and assist in building media lists
- Assist in event planning and coordination and individual brand projects
- Mailing Packages of Products to Mass Media
- Assisting Recording Artists; glam squads etc.
Requirements
- Good phone, organization and follow-through skills
- Photocopying, faxing, scanning placements and articles
- Comfort level of Maturity while interacting with clients (Stylists/Celebs/Industry Execs)
- Conference operations experience via phone or in person
- Fashionable Knowledge of the Industry
- Familiarity with blogging and/or the tech industry
- Expert knowledge/experience in navigating the internet
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Available a minimum of 3 days per week (20 Hours)
- Team player, willing to take on any assignment
